ASP Team-up With WARGASM's Sam Matlock for New Track 'MAKE A MOVE'
Tokyo troublemakers ASP have been making moves at home and away ahead of the release of fierce third single 'Heaven's Seven', which is out today and features bombastic party punk track 'MAKE A MOVE' produced by WARGASM's Sam Matlock.
The seven-strong group, hailing from Japan's notorious WACK agency (the masterminds behind Japanese alternative pop culture phenomenons BiSH), recently smashed a sold-out solo show at Hibiya Park Open-Air Concert Hall in Tokyo, where they announced even bigger ambitions; a solo show at the legendary Nippon Budokan later this year! Until then, ASP will be causing chaos at The Underworld in London on 27 March, followed by a domestic tour in April and May.
As if ASP weren't busy enough, they just completed two shows in Tokyo opening for London based rock-duo WARGASM, with new single 'Heaven's Seven' dropping at midnight after the final show. The two-track release is ASP's third from a major label in Japan, and is released internationally via London's JPU Records. While its title track is an uptempo winter bop produced by DJ Yohji Igarashi and Pecori from ODD Foot Works, with a trippy music video directed by creative unit Margt, its track two 'MAKE A MOVE' that sees Sam Matlock take the reins for composition, lyrics and arrangement.
Sam Matlock Comment:
"It was an honor to work with ASP – it’s fresh, it’s new, it’s exciting and punk. Looks amazing, sounds amazing, feels amazing.
We hope you enjoy this song kicking back against the status quo. Never let the people in charge tell you who to be, and never let them catch you standing still."
