MUTANT MONSTER Joins CAMDEN ROCKS 2019 Line-up

Punk trio MUTANT MONSTER will be back in London for CAMDEN ROCKS 2019. The band will be performing on Sunday 2 June, the same day as Ash, Raging Speedhorn and The Wonder Stuff.

CAMDEN ROCKS is an independent urban festival showcasing 400 of the best new and established bands, across twenty legendary venues in Camden Town on 1st and 2nd June 2019.

MUTANT MONSTER are among the first 220 acts for the event to have been announced. Others include punk-folk singer songwriter Frank Turner, riotous alt-rock act Ash, Essex troubadour RAT BOY, legendary post-punks New Model Army, USA teenage-dirtbags Wheatus, indie-rock legend Carl Barât of The Libertines, American punk icon Richie Ramone and many more. Expect a mashup of genres featuring some of the finest and best known acts in the live music world, plus a showcasing of some of the brightest and freshest talent around, set in the UK's heart and home of rock n roll; Camden Town.

NEKOKABURI (meaning "Lions in Cats' Clothing") is the latest album from Japanese punk band MUTANT MONSTER, and features ten tracks including two exclusive songs for outside of Japan, an entirely exclusive cover and booklet design, plus English lyric translations available for the first time!

To celebrate, MUTANT MONSTER released the album's lead music video Hanashite Ageru ("I'll Let You Go") and sent shockwaves through their fandom. The members, who have had long hair since the band's creation, can be seen cutting it short for this video and revealing an entirely new image for the band. "We donated our trademark black hair to children who are fighting against cancer," says the band. "It took us two years to prepare our hair to the right length, and it takes around 20 people to donate their hair to create one wig. So we feel this is an important opportunity to spread about hair donation."
