SCANDAL Begin 15th Anniversary Year with 'eternal' New Single
Timeless Japanese pop-rock band SCANDAL begin their 15th anniversary year with new single 'eternal', available digitally worldwide from 3 March, 2021. The release will be supported overseas with a limited-edition (100 copies!!) tape cassette from London's JPU Records, featuring two tracks and lyric translations. Both physical and digital versions of the SCANDAL single are available to pre-order from today. UPDATE: the limited edition cassette has sold out ahead of the release date.
'eternal' sees the band join forces with long-time SCANDAL producer Satori Shiraishi to create an innovative, festival anthem fitting for a 15th anniversary. Shiraishi has worked with SCANDAL throughout their career, and has also produced a number of prominent J-pop hits for Porno Graffitti, TOTALFAT and AKB48 amongst others.
A remix of 'eternal' is also included, remixed by acclaimed trackmaker and producer TOWA TEI. His career began as part of Deee-Lite (responsible for dance classic 'Groove Is in the Heart') and he has since released nine solo albums and worked on projects with music icons Yellow Magic Orchestra, Japan's national television network NHK and New York's INTERSECT BY LEXUS.
SCANDAL is scheduled to perform a special 15th anniversary show at one of the most prestigious venues in their hometown: Osaka Jo Hall, located in Osaka Castle Park. The event is scheduled for 21 August 2021. SCANDAL's world tour has been rescheduled.
