sources – KOCHI ～Wind from the Orient Tracklist

1. Chiheisen no Kaze (地平線の風)

   The title means ‘Winds on the Horizon’ and the track is about the wind that flows over a vast expanse of land as far as the eye can see. Listeners are asked to close their eyes and listen to the breath of nature as it blows through the season landscape, sometimes with a sense of tranquillity, other times with a sense of magnificence.

2. Shippujinrai (疾風迅雷)

   Inspired by tales from the Warring States Period, this piece was created with an image of ancient, armoured armies battling each other. Its title means ‘Gale and Thunder’.

3. 一祭合祭 -ISSAIGASSAI-

   A tribute of contemporary Japanese festivals where the whole community comes together in celebration. There is no need to be shy, everyone can come and enjoy as much as they want. This track was written with this scene in mind.

4. Higurashi (ひぐらし)

   The sound of the higurashi (cicadas) rings out in the background during the dusk of summer. This piece was written with the image of the setting sun illuminating the mountains and traditional Japanese houses during this time.

5. Meet The Future

   The piece was composed as the official theme song for the 9th Osaka Motor Show, and to fit the occasion was written to capture that need for speed drivers have on the race circuit. Please listen to it while imaging a car journey.

7. Sora to Umi to Kimi to boku (空と海と君と僕)

   The sky and the sea seem close together on the horizon, but the two never cross. This track’s title means ‘the sky, the sea, you and me’ in English and was written comparing this concept to two people and the contrast between them.

8. Make my day

   This is not a reference to Clint Eastwood, instead it’s about those moments in daily life when you feel “Oh, I’m so happy…”. You would make sources’ day if you get such feelings while listening to this track.
