Shipping policy
How is the Shipping Price Calculated?
Shipping costs are calculated on the weight of the whole order.
To find out how much shipping will be for your order, go to your basket, click "check out" at the bottom of the page and then click "express checkout", which will show you the total amount due, any taxes included, and the shipping price. If you don't choose that, just fill in your shipping details and press "continue to shipping" to see how much shipping will cost and what options are available for you.
Generally, one CD will have the lowest shipping cost and will allow you to send via an unrecorded delivery method. Anything heavier than a CD will be sent recorded delivery.
How Much is Shipping?
The price depends on weight and location, the price starts at;
UK: £2.99
EU: £3.99 (around €4.65)
Rest of World: £4.99 (around $6.85)
Are Taxes Included?
If you're in the UK or within the EU, tax is automatically included with each item and you should not be charged any additional fees or taxes upon arrival of your order. If you're outside of the UK or the EU, items are cheaper because there is no tax included. You may be liable to pay tax and associated fees upon arrival of your order, depending on your country's rulings and thresholds.
Can I Track My Order?
If you chose the "Tracked / Signed" option, yes, you can track your order. An email will be sent to the email address you used to place the order with your tracking details, and it will also be trackable from your JPU Records account if you decide to make one. If you choose "Untracked" for a delivery option, then there will not be a tracking number. Please don't bother us to ask why there isn't a tracking number included. (Seriously, stop.)
How Long Does Delivery Take?
We ship from our offices in London and generally use Royal Mail. According to Royal Mail, this is how long shipments are estimated to take once we have processed them and sent you a shipping confirmation:
To the UK: Within three working days.
To the EU: Within seven working days
To everywhere else: Within ten working days.
However! Experience tells us that these estimates are quite optimistic, so please bare this in mind. If you need something faster, let us know and we'll look into alternative methods for you. Also, please note that it says WORKING DAYS.
When Is An Order Considered Lost?
The following are how many working days must pass before the item is considered lost, according to Royal Mail:
To the UK: Ten working days after expected arrival date.
To Europe: 20 working days after expected arrival date.
To everywhere else: 25 working days after expected arrival date.
