Japanese music club night JAPAN UNDERGROUND returns to London this August for one of its most unique events yet, as 11 members of chart-topping Japanese idol group GANG PARADE swap the concert stage for the DJ booth for an intimate, one-night-only appearance.

Taking place on Saturday 22 August 2026 at Room One Ten in Hanwell, West London, the special DJ-only event will feature 12 DJs, including 11 members of GANG PARADE, who will each play a selection of their favourite songs, offering fans a rare insight into the music that has inspired them throughout their career.

One of Japan's leading alternative idol groups, GANG PARADE have topped Japan's Oricon Album Chart, performed theme songs for anime including Me & Roboco, and attracted more than 24 million YouTube views. Known for their energetic live performances and genre-blending sound, the group is currently embarking on its First and Last UK Tour ahead of the group’s final ever concert, which will take place at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo on 29 October 2026.

Rather than performing live, this event offers something altogether different. With audience numbers strictly limited, fans will have the opportunity to experience one of the most intimate appearances of GANG PARADE's career as members personally curate the soundtrack to the evening. Additional to the GANG PARADE members, Japan Underground and JPU Records founder Tom Smith will also be on the decks at the start and end of the night playing a selection of tracks shaped by requests from the audience.

Established in London in 2010, JAPAN UNDERGROUND has spent more than 15 years introducing audiences to Japanese music through club nights dedicated entirely to artists from Japan. Previous live guests include Otoboke Beaver, [Alexandros], FACT, Shonen Knife, Kero Kero Bonito and many more.
