FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER Enter the Fabled Sky-Dungeon in New Single ‘AURELIA’
Operatic metal adventurers FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER invite fans to join them on their latest quest with new single ‘AURELIA’, out today worldwide.
The track continues the ever-expanding fantasy saga surrounding the band. Their previous adventure, ‘SAKEKAGURA’, saw blue-haired bassist NINO join the party, before the newly assembled foursome accidentally summoned the god of alcohol. Now, with their crew complete, FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER set forth in search of Aurelia, a fabled dungeon hidden in the sky.
Musically, ‘AURELIA’ pushes further into FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER’s theatrical side, pairing CHIHIRO’s soaring operatics with guitarist TAKUMA’s male vocals as the two voices weave through the track’s grand orchestral metal soundscape. Sweeping symphonic arrangements, heavy guitars and dramatic shifts give the song the scale of a fantasy adventure in its own right, bringing the journey to Aurelia to life through both music and story.
Of course, a new FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER track wouldn't be complete without new lore. The band have chronicled the latest chapter of their adventure below, presented in English for international fans.
Since the release of debut album Anthems of the Resilient and follow-up single and music video ‘SAKEKAGURA’, FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER have caused a stir on TikTok, where users struggled to believe that the band, or their fantastical music video, were actually real, with some convinced they were AI creations.
Despite looking remarkably like a party of anime characters brought to life, FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER are very much real.
CHIHIRO (vocals), TAKUMA (guitar), NINO (bass) and TETSU (drums; also drummer of Aliphdopa) compose and arrange their own music, create the lore behind their ever-expanding universe, and devise the concepts for their music videos. Freddy of Serenity In Murder handles the orchestral arrangements, helping give FATHOMLESS SKYWALKER's fantastical world its suitably epic soundtrack.

Chapter One: The Skybound Dungeon
After bidding farewell to the God of Sake, the Fathomless Pirates leave the Land of Wa behind. Their next destination is a legendary dungeon hidden high in the heavens...!!
Following a mysterious Morse code signal, they venture through a raging storm. At last, a colossal castle appears before them, floating in the sky.
Majestic. Mysterious. And somehow ominous. Like an untouchable sanctuary that refuses to let any mortal enter. Its name is AURELIA.
United as one, the pirates fight their way through countless monsters and venture deeper into the dungeon, until at last, they reach the boss chamber! After a fierce and desperate battle, they finally defeat the boss, or so they think...
To their horror, TAKUMA, captain of the Fathomless Pirates, is possessed by the dungeon boss...!
Chapter Two: The Cursed Kingdom
Long ago, this place was the prosperous kingdom of AURELIA, high in the heavens. But its days of peace did not last forever. The queen, whom the king loved more than anything, became the victim of a conspiracy and was murdered.
Driven mad by rage and grief, the king transformed the entire kingdom into a gigantic dungeon and became its boss. And the people of the kingdom were transformed into the dungeon's monsters...
The soul of the king, now the dungeon boss, became linked with Captain TAKUMA's soul, merging the two into one.
Can the Fathomless Pirates save Captain TAKUMA...?
Chapter Three: The Light of Salvation
"There is only one way to save Captain TAKUMA. You must destroy the Dungeon Core—and bring this kingdom to ruin."
The one who reveals this truth is none other than the queen who met a tragic and brutal death long ago. Her name, too, is Aurelia.
In order to save the king, she has remained within the dungeon as a ghost, waiting all this time. Waiting for someone capable of destroying the Dungeon Core. To save the king. To save Captain TAKUMA.
Together with Queen Aurelia, the Fathomless Pirates finally succeed in destroying the Dungeon Core. TAKUMA is freed and returns safely to his true self. The king, his sanity finally restored, is reunited with his queen.
And as AURELIA crumbles around them, the king and queen ascend together into the heavens.
