One Eye Closed – N.C.H.
In the blink of an eye, Tokyo rockers One Eye Closed have gone global. Their blinding debut EP Cain – self-released at the end of 2019 – not only saw the band gain attention from Japan's underground rock scene, but also from music fans around the world when when one if its tracks became the ending theme to a video game. EP track 'Low' features in 'Best of E3 2019' finalist No Straight Roads on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (which also features JPU Records’ own guitar shredder; Midori of LOVEBITES on its soundtrack).
One Eye Closed continued the narrative flows set out in Cain with follow up EP Abel in the late summer of 2020, showcasing further the bilingual singing talents of REI, effortlessly able to mix soaring vocal hooks with rap and r'n'b influences; the mysterious and creative guitar prowess of 'none'; the energy of funky bass groover Yasu; and the dynamic power of Kay on drums.
Now, One Eye Closed take the next step and join the ranks of JPU Records, one of the leading international labels for Japanese rock, metal and pop, with this exciting new single 'N.C.H.'. Enjoy.
REI, vocalist, comments; "Being One Eye Closed's first single release with JPU Records, 'N.C.H.', an abbreviation for 'Never Coming Home', serves as the introduction and tease to One Eye Closed's next EP release. While 'N.C.H.' represents the story of One Eye Closed's journey between struggle and determination, it also tells the story of starting a new chapter and overcoming a battle with inner demons told in EP Cain and Abel. One Eye Closed brings a stadium sound with this new single, bigger than any of their previous releases."
