BUCK-TICK to Stream Nippon Budokan Show Worldwide from 29 December
Legendary Japanese band BUCK-TICK will stream their upcoming performance ABRACADABRA THE DAY IN QUESTION 2020 at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan worldwide on 29 December.
The band has made it a tradition to see the year off with a show at the 14k+ capacity Nippon Budokan since 2001. Last year saw BUCK-TICK switch venue to the equally impressive Yoyogi National Gymnasium 1st Gymnasium while the Budokan underwent renovation work. Now, they return to sacred grounds.
Coronavirus prevented the band from touring in support of latest album ABRACADABRA, the international special editionof which is out on CD and cassette with bonus tracks and more soon. Now, fans in Japan will have a chance to experience BUCK-TICK's new songs live for the first time (as well as classics from their 33-year career). Despite venue capacity being cut in half following Japan's safety measures to limit the spread of infection, fans from around the world, and those who could not attend, will be able to experience ABRACADABRA live with an audience for the first time.
The performance will be available on four platforms. Nico Nico Live Broadcasting and ZAIKO will have it accessible to overseas fans from 29 December until the end of 5 January 2021 (Japan time).
BUCK-TICK is currently holding a tour of their first no-audience performance, ABRACADABRA LIVE ON THE NET, held on 21 September 2020 at KT Zepp Yokohama. The performance is being screened in 23 locations across Japan. The highlights are available on YouTube and viewable below.
