One Eye Closed Bring the Halloween Vibes with BLOOD RAIN

Tokyo’s One Eye Closed get ready for Halloween with new track BLOOD RAIN, out now with a fittingly dark music video that mixes elements of pop, visual kei and slasher cinema themes. The news comes as the band’s 2021 spring single ‘All of Us’ gets picked up as the new ending theme for No Straight Roads: Encore Edition. The original game, rated among the “Best of E3 2019”, featured One Eye Closed’s breakout hit ‘Low’, which was recently remastered by Яyo Trackmaker (girugamesh).
“BLOOD RAIN is led by an artificial, tense release-cut piano,” explains One Eye Closed’s guitarist and lead composer none. “It’s our most pop and catchy track to date. I hope you can bop along to this new work combining modern JROCK spirit with the style of One Eye Closed”.
“Lyrically, I approached this song as a dark sequel to our track ‘Never Forget’,” states vocalist and lyricist REI. “We were thinking what we can do for Halloween, and I thought ‘I wonder what would happen if the character we made in ‘Never Forget’ and turn him psychotic. The track may sound pop but the content is anything but...!”
One Eye Closed’s debut album Adam & Eve is available now on CD and digital formats. They are also regulars on official Spotify playlists "Loud Rock Japan". The band will join shamisen rock band (and label mates) ROA for two dates of their tour this November.
