SCANDAL Shine with New Single ‘Highlight no Nakade Bokura Zutto’
Fresh from celebrating their 17 anniversary, SCANDAL return with brand new single and music video ‘Highlight no Nakade Bokura Zutto’, released today to download or stream.
This is SCANDAL’s 29th single and it includes two songs. Title track ‘Highlight no Nakade Bokura Zutto’ was written and composed by the band’s guitarist MAMI, with arrangement by Ryo Eguchi who also worked on SCANDAL’s festival anthem ‘Take me out’, amongst other songs. The song expresses the band’s feeling that whenever they are with their fans, that is the absolute highlight of their lives, and they hope to continue moving forwards as a band that’s been going for 17 years. The track is coupled with ‘CANDY’, written and composed by SCANDAL’s bass player TOMOMI, with arrangement by Satori Shiraishii who worked on recent single ‘eternal’ as well as many other tracks from the band.
In conjunction with the new single’s release, the website for SCANDAL’s self-owned label ‘her’ has begun showing ‘her GALLERY’ for a limited time. The online galley features special photos of the band members taken by Ryohei Obama to commemorate the new single and band anniversary.
SCANDAL’s International label JPU Records has also released previous single ‘Line of sight’ alongside Highlight no Nakade Bokura Zutto today. It also features two songs, the title track, which appears as the theme song to Japanese arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base LINXTAGE. The track’s an upbeat rock track, as expected from a franchise as big as Gundam, as was written by drummer RINA and composed by MAMI. It’s joined by ‘Vision’, a funky rock track written and composed by RINA.
